It's Official!

Our baby girl has a name- Gabriella Mae Neighbors! This is not a name I've though about a lot, but suggested it because Jeremie liked it when Mollie was a baby and thought it would be a good name if we had another girl. Originally I wanted to call her Ellie, but the more we talked about Gabbie the more it felt right. And, the more I prayed about God giving us the right name for her the more I felt at peace with it. I love it and just know it is the perfect name for her. Gabriella is the female version of Gabriel, which means "God is my strength" and Mae is my grandma's middle name. We are getting so excited to meet this little girl!!!

Seven Months!

I have officially hit the third trimester and so far, so good. Although I'm starting feel like my legs and ankles are swelling a little, it is nothing in comparison to what I experienced with Mollie by this point. My blood pressure is staying low, which is also a huge blessing. We also are 95% sure of the baby's name. I'll posted it as soon as it's 100%. Mollie says it really cutely!!!

Welcome Spring!

To welcome in Spring, Jeremie, Mollie, and I headed to the zoo. It was a beautiful day! Mollie hadn't been to the zoo since last Fall, so I was curious to see what she would remember and what her reaction would be. Surprisingly, she remembered a lot! She started asking to go see the tigers and monkeys right away! Her favorites of the day were the monkeys and polar bears. She kept telling them to "come out!" so she could play with them. Thankfully, they could not come out to play!!! Since Saturday she has been asking to go back to see the polar bears every day!

Mollie's Big Girl Bed

In preparation for the new baby, Mollie got her new big girl bed. The transition has NOT been a smooth one! We are making progress, though. We have been shutting the baby gate at the top of the stairs at night and then going down stairs while she falls asleep. On Saturday night she cried at the top of the stairs for about 20 minutes. Sunday night she called my name at the top of the stairs for about 15 minutes. Tonight she cried from the top and called my name once and then we didn't hear another peep out of her. At least she is going to sleep in her bed and not passing out on the floor! And in the mornings she is waking at about 7:00 and playing in her room until I come in to get her at 7:30. This is MUCH better than the night we had on Friday- about an hour of fighting with her to get her to go to sleep and then three hours of it in the middle of the night! We are hoping that the transition phase will be over soon and she'll be prepared for the new baby to sleep in her old crib!!!

Please Vote!

So it's down to two names-Jordyn (Jordy) Mae or Josephine (Josie) Mae.

Josephine means "God will add"
Jordyn means "From the down-flowing river" and is the river in which Jesus was baptized.

We are torn between the two, so help us decide! Cast your vote here and we'll post the results!

Birthday Fun at the Y

Jeremie, Mollie, and I went to a birthday party at the Y this weekend. I think Jeremie may have had more fun that Mollie! He played so hard that he came home with masive blisters on his hands from trying to do flips in the bars. He got really close to going all the way around! I asked Jeremie to play "rough" with Mollie in hopes that she would be more adventurous than she is with me when we go to class at the Y. She is way too fearful, just like her mommy. I think it worked pretty well. I'm not in any of the pictures from this family outing. I must have overdone it around the house earlier in the day, because by the time we got to the party I could barely walk. I ended up on picture duty the whole time. It was still very fun, though, watching my two favorite people and have so much fun!

Six Months

Here is a picture of baby and me at 25 weeks. I'm finally starting to "feel" pregnant these days. I'm getting tired more easily and having more difficultly carrying Mollie. I'm also starting to really enjoy my daily treats... It's not feeling so good to feel chubby from them, though!

We started our house projects to get ready for the baby's arrival, too. We moved furniture around last weekend to start Mollie's new Big Girl room. The walls will be pink and the bedding is light green with pink, yellow, blue, and lavender flowers. Mollie's nursery will become the baby's room. Although the theme and bedding are staying the same, enough of the decorations are being moved to Mollie's new room to allow us some space to freshen up the nursery for the new little one. I'll be sure to post pictures when everything is complete.

By nature I am quite the "nester". As you can imagine, as a pregnant woman I'm REALLY a nester. It feels really good to me to be getting these projects done. It makes me feel ready for the baby's arrival, even though I know that it is a false sense of readiness. I can only imagine the craziness that my life will be for quite some time after this new little one arrives!
