Oh the Things They Come Up With...

Today, when the babysitter (Betsy) came over, Mollie refused to say hello. After she finally agreed to talk, she said, "Bets, I'm over you." We asked her what she was over, to which she responded, "I'm over you babysitting me." Rude? Terribly. But somewhat funny? YES!

Mollie

Here is a progression of Mollie and Jeremie in the petting zoo area of The Puyallup Fair since her first trip. So cute to see how much she's grown!

Hello, Fall!

Tomorrow is the first official day of Fall, although it has felt like late Fall for several weeks now! I have very much missed the beautiful, crisp days of September we typically get in Western Washington, but we have still enjoyed all the Fall related activities we love each year. We did season passes to the Puyallup Fair again this year, and even with all the days of rain, we have gone about five times so far. Mollie and I also added a new tradition to the mix- The Princess Breakfast- put on by Puyallup Parks and Rec. Mollie loved getting dressed up like a princess, with tiara, wand, and sparkly shoes! It was a great time of mother-daughter bonding without the little one. We don't get much of that time these days, so it was greatly appreciated!

Sister Love

Her are the girls playing together. I LOVE seeing Mollie with Gabbie. She is such a sweet, adoring big sister. I pray everyday that they will love each other more and more and will grow to be best friends. They are so blessed to have each other!!!

Future Cheerleaders

We took the girls to dinner at the Ram on the Tacoma Waterfront and happened to be sitting next to a table full of cheerleaders. The were wearing purple and gold with Vikings logos. Naturally, I thought they were from Puyallup High School. But I started noticing that their attire was VERY nice, with Reebok and NFL symbols all over. So, I started thinking that PHS must have a ton of money...

Mollie, of course, got their attention and they fell in love with her. She even got one of the girls to take her shoe and sock off to show off her nail polish! Finally, I figured out (from their accents)that they were not from PHS, but from Minnesota and are NFL cheerleaders! Super fun! The girls were super sweet and very excited to take pictures with our girls. I think they fit right in and maybe a little cheerleading of their own is in the future! (Well, if they get daddy's rhythm and flexibility!)

Mollie Goes to Camp!

Mollie and her best friend, Addison, went to camp for the first time this summer! It is called Lil Whipper Snappers and is put on by the YMCA. They got to go to camp for two days for a couple of hours. The theme was "under the sea", so they got to make glittery starfish and a beach scene in a shoe box. So fun!

Here are two pictures of each of the girls at one month. They obviously look different, but look so much like sisters! Can't wait to see what Gabbie looks like as she grows. Both girls are so beautiful and we love them so, so much! They are such a blessing to us!!!

Happy Fourth!

Here are some pictures of our family fun on the Fourth. We went to City Blast at the Puyallup Fair Grounds with family and friends. Mollie got to play on bounce house toys and we all got to see a fun show and fireworks display put on by Puyallup Foursquare Church. We also had a BBQ at our house. Mollie got to enjoy a smore. Notice how much ended up on her face. Good thing she was wearing a bib! :)

Mollie and Me

Here are two of my favorite pictures taken recently. My friend, Lisa, took a few maternity pics the other week and I ended up loving the ones of Mollie and me together best. She is such an amazing little girl. Can't wait to meet Gabbie and get to know and love her just like I love the girl I already have. I truly feel so blessed to be given the chance to be the mommy of two girls. I couldn't ask for more!

Spring Fair in Review

Here are some of our pictures from Mollie's first and second trips to the Spring Fair. I think I love this tradition so much because it was our first real outing as a family after Mollie was born. I just remember feeling so much joy that day and going each year totally brings back those wonderful memories!

The one of the three babies is one of the first pictures ever taken of Mollie and her cousins, Josh and Peyton. Such a sweet memory, too! The one of me changing Mollie was the first time she ever peed all over a changing table. I don't know why, but it was hilarious to me at the time. The one of Mollie and Jeremie and me won't make Jeremie too happy... It was when we were both still carrying all of our "baby weight". :)

Spring Fair 2010

This was our third annual trip to the Spring Fair. Before Mollie was born I had never been. We took her when she was just eight days old and have taken her back each year since. It has become a family tradition I look forward to every Spring. Mollie was super excited about it, too. She loved seeing the animals, especially the pigs which were stinkier than normal, if you can believe that! And she got to go on rides for the first time at the Fair. We only bought a few tickets, but maybe the scanners weren't working right because she never ran out of them! We finally told her that she was going on one more and then we gave the remaining three away. She even got to go on her first solo ride! Without us, she went on cars, motorcycles, and boats. She also got to go on the slide and carousel with Daddy. Naturally, at eight months pregnant, I didn't go on any! I made it through just over three hours there, but am feeling the effects as I type. That is a lot of walking for 32 weeks along. We also loved our fair food- yummy burgers, krusty pups, fries, and scones, of course! Such a beautiful day for a fun family outing. Can't wait to do it again this Fall with both our girls!

Mollie's Birthday Party

We hosted Mollie's birthday party at our house today. It took me two days of cleaning and one day of setting up to be ready for it. At almost eight months pregnant I can't get as much accomplished as I usually can, so this was a lot of work for me! Next year we plan to have Mollie's party at a kid's venue... Don't think that I'm up for this again any time soon! :)

Mollie got a TON of wonderful gifts from so many friends and family members who came. My dad even got her a swing set! It will definitely come in handy entertaining Mollie this summer when I'm tied up with a newborn!

We so appreciate all the people who came to celebrate our little girl. She has so many people to be thankful for, because they love her so much.

Mollie's Big Girl Room

Mollie's main gift from us for her birthday was her new big girl room. Now that she has adjusted to a new room and sleeping in a twin bed, she loves it! Here are some pictures of it.
